Palisade Capital Management Mourns the Passing of Sue Donohue

Palisade is heartbroken to announce the loss of Sue Donahue on June 8, 2020 after a brief non-COVID-19 related illness. Sue served as Executive Assistant to Palisade President & CEO Alison Berman and Chief Investment Officer Dan Veru, and previously worked for over 20 years as the Executive Assistant to Palisade Founder and CEO Martin Berman.

Sue was Palisade’s first employee – hired at the Firm’s founding over twenty-five years ago – and has been a beloved and key member of the Palisade team since the very beginning.  Sue was deeply devoted to the Firm and, more importantly, had an enormous heart, was as honest as they come, and never shied away from anything.  Over the years, Sue coordinated Palisade’s holiday and employee social events, led the implementation of the Firm’s charitable efforts, and worked to ensure that our clients always felt like they were part of Palisade’s extended family. In short, Sue cherished providing for others and making people (and her beloved animals) happy.

We will never forget Sue’s laugh echoing through the office or her no-nonsense attitude.  Sue’s presence and friendship will be sorely missed.

Palisade sends its deepest condolences to Sue’s family, including her brother Jack Donohue and wife Loretta, sister Pat Shenk, nieces and nephews Casey, Chris, Russ, Ryan, and Kyle, grand-nieces and nephews Maddie, Mackenzie, Miles, and Zoe, as well as to our colleagues and friends whose lives were touched by Sue.  May her memory be a blessing to us all.
