Palisade Capital Management, a Fort Lee, N.J.-based SEC registered investment advisor with approximately $3.5 billion of assets under management, today announced the hiring of Garo Norian as senior equity analyst covering small cap equities. Norian, who has 10 years of analytical experience, joins the firm to further expand and strengthen its Small Cap Core Domestic Equity Strategy, which is headed by Senior Portfolio Manager Marc Shapiro. Norian will focus on covering industrial and material stocks.
Norian comes to Palisade Capital Management from BlackRock, which he joined in 2002, where he served as a senior equity analyst supporting both small- and mid-cap portfolios. Earlier in his career, he was with State Street Research & Management as an analyst focusing on the industrial and energy sectors. He began his investment career at JP Morgan & Co., where he was an associate in the research department. Norian holds the CFA designation.
Commenting on the new hire, Dennison (Dan) T. Veru, Palisade’s Chief Investment Officer, said, “We welcome Garo to the firm. He is a seasoned analyst and a tremendous addition to the Small Cap Core Equity team, which continues to execute well despite recent volatility.”
“Garo is a perfect complement to our growing Small Cap Core Equity team,” said Shapiro, to whom Norian reports. “His in-depth knowledge of sectors and thorough approach to stock analysis fits very well with our focus on high-quality companies with attractive valuations.”
